Back on Our Feet is committed to helping individuals get the help and support they need as they deal with the unthinkable events that have unfolded in the past few weeks. The security situation in Israel has meant that since October 7th, thousands of Israelis have been evacuated from their homes, having had little to no time to gather their most basic belongings. Many had the items on their backs, hopped into their cars, and just drove until they felt they reached a place of relative safety. This has been the current situation and continues to be the reality on the ground- with the backdrop of changing seasons, and the fact that many of these people won't see their homes or their belongings for what appears to be a long road ahead. Additionally, many of them had jobs which are not transferable to different geographies, which makes purchasing items to start over very difficult. Through this platform, we are enabling people who have been evacuated to request exactly the items they need, and enabling donors to know exactly where their funds are going, to help get back on their feet.
Our team has authorized and verified that all receivers requesting items have in fact been evacuated or displaced from their homes due to the war.
Facilitating Assistance Effortlessly.
If you want to help purchase items for those who have been affected, please sign up as a donor on our home page. From there, once you've created an account, you can browse the registries of individuals who have signed up to receive items they need ("receivers"). Then, once you've added those items to your cart, our operations team will have these items sent directly to the receiver within several days (you will be notified when they receive the item).
If you want to receive items, please sign up as a receiver on our home page by clicking the sign up button. Once you create an account, you will have access to the product page where you can browse and decide what to add to your profile registry. Once you are done, you can see these items all added to your cart and you simply need to click "Add to Registry" at the bottom of your cart. Then, these items will be added to your profile. You can go back to the product page and edit your registry at any time.
